Developed by subject matter experts, Q is an AI training tool that allows learners to develop and practise essential skills by using prompts and role-playing to work through precisely crafted scenarios. It then provides rich verbal feedback, together with measured analysis of performance.
A scenario can take from 5 to 20 minutes. Those wanting to really push up their score will try to cover all bases. Those looking for a quicker assessment of their ability don’t need to stay in the scenario any longer than they feel the need to.
When a learner feels the conversation is complete, they hit the FEEDBACK button which gives them a visual display of their performance in each of the areas assessed, together with a verbal assessment to read. They can then improve their score immediately by going into another scenario and putting their feedback into practice.
First, the learner reads brief notes explaining the scenario they are about to enter. These include realistic emails or voicenotes from characters in the scenario. Learners can, if they wish, watch micro-tutorials and refer to guidelines. Or they can just dive in.
They then enter the scenario and interact with an AI-generated character by exchanging messages. They need to focus on demonstrating the skill that is being assessed. At any point, they can hit the HINT button and get clues about what to try next.
